О чем молчит презренный металл? Семиотика денег и общественный контроль

Аннотация

В статье с помощью семиотического метода исследуются социальные функции денег. Автор делает краткий обзор семиотики, показывает, как исследование смыслов и контекстов можно связать с изучением денег, особенно отмечая аналогию между деньгами и языком и описывая вклад теоретиков австрийской и институционалистской традиции. С применением марксистского подхода к анализу символического значения денег показывается, как деньги становятся дискурсом власти.
