Инновации и культура: важность методологии анализа

Аннотация

В статье анализируется доказательность утверждений о влиянии культурных ценностей на уровень инновационной активности национальной и региональной экономики, отдельных фирм и инноваторов. Такие утверждения основаны на существовании корреляции между социетальными ценностями и различными индикаторами инновационной активности, но возможные механизмы влияния не описываются и эмпирически не верифицируются. Показано, что репрезентация национальной культуры социетальными ценностями не релевантна ее содержанию, в силу чего любые утверждения о влиянии культуры на инновационные процессы лишены оснований. Поэтому чтобы понять, что именно и как в национальной культуре воздействует на инновации, необходимы исследования, опирающиеся на ее иные репрезентации.
