Представлены методика и результаты конкретной оценки таких потерь применительно к последствиям волн жары и пожаров летом 2010 г. для населения Москвы. Особое внимание уделено обоснованию и рекомендациям по обеспечению корректности указанной оценки для условий России, учитывающих, с одной стороны, недостатки отечественной нормативной и методической базы, а с другой — зарубежный опыт экономической оценки людских потерь от преждевременной и дополнительной смертности и определения ценности среднестатистической жизни.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The paper overviews the existing methodologies for evaluating economic losses incurred by untimely and additional deaths provoked by natural and technological disasters. It also reveals the improved methodology of such an assessment based on welfare theory and international comparisons approach, and outcomes of the case study using this methodology for calculating economic value of human losses from heat waves and wildfires’ impact on the Moscow region.
