Агломерационные эффекты измеряются посредством оценки степени концентрации отрасли при помощи индекса Эллисона—Глейзера (высокая концентрация означает, что предприятия отрасли сосредоточены в одном или нескольких регионах). Эффект для предприятий измерялся через воздействие на валовую прибыль. Устойчивость эффекта концентрации проверялась при помощи линейных регрессионных моделей с учетом принадлежности предприятия к географическому кластеру для каждой из шести основных укрупненных групп отраслей предприятий: сельскохозяйственные отрасли, добыча полезных ископаемых, обрабатывающие отрасли, транспорт, информационные технологии и телекоммуникации, услуги. Устойчивые положительные агломерационные эффекты были найдены для сельскохозяйственных, добывающих и транспортных отраслей. Стабильно отрицательное воздействие повышенная степень концентрации отрасли оказывала на предприятия сферы услуг и обрабатывающей промышленности. Для предприятий сектора высоких технологий, входящих в отраслевой кластер, выяснилось, что повышение степени концентрации ведет к снижению результативности деятельности, а для компаний, располагающихся вне кластера, эффект концентрации </p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>This paper discovers the sustainability of agglomeration externalities and robustness issues for Russian private real sector companies between 2011 to 2018. Agglomeration effects are measured with the Ellison—Glaeser index (industry is supposed to be clustered in certain region(s) if the EG value is high). Firms’ sales margin was chosen as the main performance characteristic (dependent variable). The sample was divided into six aggregated groups (agriculture, mining, manufacturing, transport, IT, services). For each of them, sustainability and robustness of the concentration effect were checked using OLS estimates obtained for each year. Companies, located in and out of the cluster were studied separately. Strong, sustainable, and positive concentration effects were found for the agricultural, mining and transport industries. Sustainable negative agglomeration effects appear for the manufacturing and service industries.
