Эмпирический анализ панельных данных по российским регионам за 2005-2012 гг. показывает, что чрезмерная децентрализация расходных обязательств внутри региона - при не соответствующем ей уровне децентрализации доходных источников - негативно и значимо связана с региональным экономическим ростом. Напротив, зависимость регионов от межбюджетных трансфертов из федерального центра за выбранный период положительно и значимо соотносится с ростом.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article deals with the theoretical and empirical relationship between fiscal decentralization and economic growth. Empirical analysis of Russian regions for 2005-2012 shows that excessive expenditure decentralization within the region, which is not accompanied by the respective level of revenue decentralization, is significantly and negatively related to regional economic growth.
